Cell Studios FAQ

Are you a recording studio?
No. We have no recording equipment at all. Obviously you’re welcome to bring your own recording stuff in, but we don’t have
any of our own and no, we can’t record a demo for you. There are some good recording studios locally though – try finding
White House Studios on the interweb.

What’s your cancellation policy for rehearsals?
Normally the standard cancellation policy is 72 hours (three days) for one-off bookings or one week for slots which form part of
a block booking (when a band reserves the same slot every week for all eternity). If you cancel too late and we can’t fill your slot,
the practice is still chargeable. Obviously if you cancel late and we fill your slot anyway, there’s no charge.

You do offer regular weekly slots, then?
Yes, we do, as long as we can fit you in. We can get quite busy.

How do I pay?
Cash or cheque please – sorry, we have no card facilities. Normally, we like you to pay on the day, though if your practice is
a long one (5, 6 hours plus) then we might ask for payment in advance if you're not a regular.

Can you offer a storage facility for my stuff?
Sadly not – we just don’t have the space.

I’m ill/my dog has died/my drummer’s stuck in traffic/my guitarist has let me down/i’m supposed to be going
to the football.. do I really still have to pay?
Yes, sorry. In general, we do charge for all cancellations unless the fault is ours or the circumstances are extreme. It also helps if
you're nice to us.

One more thing - do you take work experience placements?
Nope, there’s not really much that can be learned from working here that can’t be done at home – it’d be mostly hoovering,
making tea and coffee, swinging round on a swivel chair and answering the phone. Also, one of us ate someone once and now
he has a taste for it. We’re not telling you which one.
